ABOUT TPFSLAM
Friendly. Competitive. Zero ego required.
The Perfect Friendly Slam (TPFSlam) started as a small, friendly tournament for friends and friends of friends — anyone keen for a few real matches without the ego.
Whether you’re a weekend hitter or someone who takes their forehand a little too seriously, you’re welcome here. Matches are set up so the games stay fair and fun, and there’s always someone to hit with.
The 2026 maiden edition is done — proper matches, gentle heckling, and a good day out. But it grew into something bigger: a community that keeps playing year-round, with the next big tournament coming in 2027.

HOW THE TOURNAMENT WORKS
Four things to know.
Here’s how each edition runs — and what to expect when the next big tournament comes around in 2027.
Format — singles or doubles
Each edition runs singles, doubles, or both, based on what people sign up for and prefer. Tell us your preference when you join.
Prelims — group stage
Matches are scheduled across several weeks. You and your opponent(s) coordinate when and where to play within the given window. A referee will be there.
Finals — two finale days
The doubles and singles titles are decided on two separate finale days. Friends invited to come watch, cheer, and (gently) heckle.
Refreshments & prize
Light snacks and drinks on the finale days. Eternal bragging rights for the champions — plus a small gift.

Anyone keen for a few friendly matches.
Weekend hitters
If you've picked up a racket a handful of times this year and want a fun excuse to play more — you're in.
Serious about that forehand
If you take your tennis a little too seriously — also in. The early rounds match people up fairly so the games stay competitive.

The Perfect Friendly Slam started as a small thing I put together for friends — and the maiden edition turned out better than I hoped.
